BMW N54 Head Port Block-Off Kit (Includes Everything Required)

Designed for converting to an external PCV System. Required when doing a Cast or Billet M18 or VTT valve cover. Includes the exact tools and screws needed to do it right the first and last time.

• 1x High Carbon Steel Tap
• 1x Tap Adapter Tool
• 6x Black Oxide Steel Set Screws 
  
• 0.5mL Tube of Red Loctite® 271 – permanent, high-strength threadlocker

Installation Notes:

1. Apply any automotive grease to the tap, or the headport to stop shavings from falling into intake port.  
   
   
2. Plug intake port with paper towls with grease applied to the towels where the headports exit into the intake, to catch any possible residual shavings
   
   
3. Block off any open areas of the head with towels or paper towels, to stop anything from falling into the engine, near the intake cam tray.
   
4. Tap each port slowly, and carefully using supplied tap and adapter. Backing the tap out a few times during the process to remove shavings.
   
   
5. Clean the port thoroughly with Brake Cleaner or 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and blow dry with compressed air, or let air dry.
   
   
6. Apply included Red Loctite® to each set screw (not in the headport) before inserting the set screw.
   
   
7. Hand-thread and tighten gently until the set screw is just barely below the surface of the engine head. - Do NOT overtighten!
   
   
8. Let cure fully 24hrs before starting engine
   
   (Red Loctite reaches handling strength in approximately 10 to 20 minutes and achieves full cure within 24 hours at room temperature. Cure time can vary depending on surface material, ambient temperature, and whether an activator is used. Higher temperatures or the use of a Loctite activator will speed up curing, while colder conditions will slow it down.)

Headports are NOT reusable once installed with red Loctite. This is a permanent solution.

Compatible with all BMW N54 engines (135i, 335i, 535i, Z4 35i, etc).
